21 year old Matt Murphy, the propitious fan who nabbed the lucky ball, is putting it up for auction. He wishes he could support it, but he is worried he will be taxed on it if he holds onto it. Now I don’t have knowledge of how you can get taxed on a baseball that you didn’t win as a aim, but we will leave that to the tax attorneys etc… Either way, it intent be auctioned online by Sotheby’s/SCP Auctions. The webput for you curious types is: http://www.scpauctions.com/. The auction transferbegin August 28th and intention end on September 15th. Decorous estimates put the value of the prized ball at U.S. $500,000. Not too uncouth.
